Fair judging.Real skills.True champions.

Because every crew deserves a fair chance.

At Hip Hop International Germany it doesn’t matter who you know. It matters what you show on stage.

An exceptional competition deserves an exceptional judging system. That is why Hip Hop International relies on an internationally standardised scoring system with clearly defined criteria, rigorously trained judges and an additional check by the head judge.

Maximum fairness.
Highest professionalism.
Full transparency.

Not everyone can be an HHI judge. You have to earn it.

Our judges complete special training, pass exams and prove their qualification. Anyone who does not meet the standards does not get to score.

National Judges
Certified judges for national HHI competitions.
International Judges

Elite Judges
The highest level: many years of experience, numerous judged competitions, additional training and exams. Only they can serve as head judge.

6 judges with 8 judges

Depending on the competition, six or eight judges score the crews. Each one focuses exclusively on their area and awards points according to fixed criteria. Personal preferences should play no part.

During a performance, total focus applies: no phones, no distractions. Every crew deserves the jury’s full attention from the first to the last beat.

The head judge. The final level of control.

The jury scores
Each judge awards points for skills or performance, never both, and no penalty points.
The head judge checks
If a score deviates conspicuously, the judge has to explain and justify it against the criteria.
The result is released
Only once everything is settled under HHI rules. Violations such as music that runs too long or inappropriate content are penalised by the head judge alone.

International judges. International standards.

HHI Germany has already welcomed judges from many countries. Different perspectives, shared standards and a professional jury structure keep personal connections and local preferences out of the result.

One system. One standard. Worldwide.

At HHI Germany, scores are not kept secret. The published scores show every crew where they were especially strong and where there is still potential. So you can analyse your choreography, improve it with purpose and come back even stronger in the next round.

The finals change everything.

In the final, the cards are reshuffled. Scores from the previous rounds do not carry over: every qualified crew starts from zero again.

It doesn’t matter whether you were first, fifth or eighth before. In the final, what counts is your performance in that decisive moment.

Every finalist has a shot at the title.
